Better Together Dinners


Do you want to foster meaningful connections and create a memorable experience for your guests?

Smedley Events’ Better Together Dinners can be used for gatherings of all kinds. Whether that be with family or friends, corporate team building, or client appreciation. Through our purposeful conversation model, we are able to create opportunities for dialogue that connect guests and allow them to discover their commonalities - all while enjoying a thoughtfully curated dinner experience.

Smedley Events’ purposeful conversation model derives from a Jeffersonian Dinner where guests of the event are provided with a conversation topic before the evening begins. Topics can range from Gratitude to Legacy to Creating Change in your Community. Each topic is thoughtfully designed to provide guests with the opportunity to share stories and experiences in hopes to create connection and understanding. An important piece to the experience is having a moderator to help guide guests throughout the conversation and create a safe space for everyone to participate.

The below packages offer flexibility to create an experience fit to your expectations. The full-service event planning services include logistical planning, guest management, vendor coordination, and on-site execution. Packages do not include food and beverage, venue fees, or additional vendor costs. Additional services such as an experienced moderator/host to lead the purposeful conversation can be added to any package.

 
 

DIY DINNEr

A “do-it-yourself” Better Together Dinner includes a one-hour in-person or virtual meeting and two 30-minute follow-up phone calls to give you all of the tools you will need to plan a successful Better Together Dinner of your own.

IN-HOME Dinner

Enjoy a Better Together Dinner in your home with full-service event planning by Smedley Events for 8-12 guests. Services include guest management, vendor coordination, logistical planning, and on-site execution. Additional guests and services can be added to this package.

OUT-OF-HOME DINNER

Enjoy a Better Together Dinner in a private space or venue with full-service event planning by Smedley Events for 8-32 guests. Services include guest management, vendor coordination, logistical planning, and on-site execution. Additional guests and services can be added to this package.

The Better Together Dinner concept was created out of a desire to bring people together and create meaningful change in our community. To ensure that we can bring this experience to the people and communities that need it most, 10% of profits from each Better Together Dinner package will go towards a school partnership dedicated to bringing dinners to a community in need.
